Just as St Nicholas didn’t invent Christmas, so
St Valentine didn’t invent romance

God intended it between one man and one women
God intended it to be powerful and permanent
God intended it as the foundation of family
Marriage is a God-given picture of our relationship with God
(Isaiah 62:5; Hosea 2:14-20; Ephesians 5:52-33;
2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 19:6-9)
God forbids whatever undermines or threatens his beautiful pattern for sex only within marriage
Adultery (e.g. Exodus 20:14)
Divorce (Deuteronomy 24:1-4

Fornication (e.g. Deuteronomy 22:13-21;
1 Corinthians 6:18-20; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8)
