What is your proudest achievement?
What makes you proudest about Grace Church Greenwich?
1. God the Father is most glorified
by the death of his Son (v27-30)
More even than at Mount Sinai!
(cf. Exodus 33:18-20)
More even than in Jesus’ miracles (cf. 2:11; 11:4, 40)
2. It’s an upside-down, back-to-front kind of death (v31-32)
The world judges Jesus? No, God judges the world!
The devil enters in (13:27)? No, the devil is cast out!
People will be repelled? No, all kinds of people will be drawn to Jesus!
3. The clock is ticking: we need to respond to Jesus’ death (v33-36)
